On day one of the two day MPSSAA Championship Track and Field meet, Senior Tyrese Williams saved his best effort for his final attempt. On his sixth leap of the competition, after having run a trial heat of the 100 meter dash only minutes before, Williams flew 22’6″ to place third in the event and establish a new Sherwood school record.
Williams then returned at the end of the meet to run the third leg of the 800 meter relay. Along with Eddie Dumas III, Shimshone Mehlek-Davweed, and Jacob Kamara, Williams and his mates placed fourth in the time of 1:28.27. The team’s time also set a new Sherwood school record.
