Sean Enright, one of Sherwood’s Senior Co-Captains, and the Warriors #1 runner is having a memorable season. On Saturday Sept. 14, Enright placed 17th in a field of 444 runners at the Oatlands Invitational. The race covered 5000 meters of rolling, grassy terrain, and contained three challenging up hill sections. Enright was the third Montgomery Public Schools runner to finish the Varsity race, with the timing clock stopping for him at 16 minutes and 52 seconds for the 3.17 mile course.
The Boys varsity team had two additional runners who finished in the top 100: Jack Anderson 46th and Eamon Plante 94th. Following the top three Varsity runners were Ian Gormley-160, Noam Tuchman- 163, Colin Patil- 164 and Justin Hayes-Puttfarcken- 178.
Sherwood also entered a Varsity B team into the meet. The Varsity B, led by Colin Loiacono, who placed 74th in the 229 runner race, placed 24th out 0f 36 teams.
Sherwood’s Freshman-Sophomore team runners placed 44th in the 55 team field, and was led by Sophomore Eric P. Johnson who placed 263 in the 513 man field.
